Fox Rothschild LLP has been named as the recipient of The Leadership Award presented by the Delaware State Bar Association (DSBA) as part of its 2009 DSBA Pro Bono Awards. The award was presented at the DSBA’s 2009 Pro Bono Awards Breakfast on Oct. 26 at 8 a.m. at the Hotel du Pont in Wilmington.
The firm was nominated to receive the award because of its demonstrated outstanding leadership in the field of pro bono services to Delaware’s indigent population. Many firm attorneys volunteer for both the Delaware Volunteer Legal Services and the Office of the Child Advocate (OCA). Fox Rothschild attorneys have represented 55 children through OCA and donated more than 560 hours.
“We are honored to receive this award,” said Gregory B. Williams, managing partner of the firm’s Wilmington office. “We have long encouraged our attorneys to volunteer their time and services to pro bono efforts and to use their legal skills for the benefit of those in need, especially in the communities in which we live and work.”
The Leadership Award is one of three awards given annually by the DSBA to law firms and individual lawyers for their efforts in providing pro bono legal services to poor and low income people. Fox Rothschild is also a past recipient of the DSBA Service to Children Award.
