Susan serves as Co-Chair of the firm's Employee Benefits Practice Group. Her practice focuses on the areas of:
- employee pension and welfare benefits
- employment law
- corporate law
- taxation
Susan works closely with clients to design and develop comprehensive plans that benefit companies and their employees. She is well known in the industry for her extensive experience with retirement plans and employee benefits, including:
- pension and profit sharing plans
- welfare benefits
- fringe benefit plans
- deferred compensation arrangements
- cafeteria plans
- transportation programs
- COBRA compliance
Susan is a leader in the firm's professional development initiatives and has been quoted in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette regarding the firm's initiatives for women lawyers and mentoring for associates.
Susan has been an instructor in the continuing education programs of Penn State University and Robert Morris College. She has authored articles for the Tax Management Compensation Planning Journal and The Pension Actuary. Very active in the community, Susan is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Tree of Life Congregation, as well as Vice President of Administration of the National Council of Jewish Women-Pittsburgh Chapter.
