Alex's practice focuses on business and employment litigation and counseling.
Alex is a vigorous defender of his clients' rights. As a litigator, Alex has a solid track record of defeating claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and breach of contract in both state and federal court. In addition, Alex also has litigated large-scale wage and hour class actions with a particular emphasis on issues arising under the California Labor Code and the Class Action Fairness Act. He also has extensive experience litigating employment issues under California’s Fair Employment & Housing Act.
Additionally, Alex provides pragmatic advice and counseling to clients on employer-employee relationship issues, including class-action avoidance, the negotiation of employment and severance agreements, compliance with the WARN Act, and compliance with state and federal wage and hour laws.

Prior to joining the firm, Alex was a partner at Kauff McClain & McGuire LLP in San Francisco, and an associate at Hunton & Williams in Tysons Corner, Virginia.
Before entering private practice, Alex was a law clerk for the Honorable Calvitt J. Clarke, Jr., in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and a Staff Attorney in the Civil Division of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
