Mentoring

Our attorneys and professional development department work as a team to assist women attorneys in advancing both within the firm and within the profession generally. Our mentoring program provides regular opportunities for open discussion of key issues among women attorneys in a variety of practice areas and at different stages of career progression.

Whether it be a one-on-one lunch, a gathering for dinner or a social outing, these meetings offer Fox’s women attorneys valuable forums for discussion of key challenges and issues related to work/life balance, marketing and business development, and career progression.

A Mentor's Perspective

I believe that more experienced attorneys need to be a resource for attorneys just entering the practice -- both in terms of legal practice experience and career development. I've enjoyed serving in a mentoring relationship with Jennifer and have been able to share with her some of my early practice challenges and the lessons that I've learned from them -- some of which I didn't even appreciate myself until we were discussing them!

A Mentee's Perspective

The mentor program has been an invaluable part of the first-year experience for me. In addition to being able to form a one-on-one relationship with an experienced attorney, it has allowed me to participate in hands-on legal experiences that are often unavailable to first-year attorneys.
